To enable the passive port range for Pure-FTPd, perform the following via the command line as the root user: Open the /etc/pure-ftpd.conf configuration file in your preferred text editor. To connect with your FTP server it is recommended to use Passive mode for all connection. And to do that you have to enable passive mode on your PureFTP package in your server.
